Carved from Flower (Putiputi) pounamu by Ross Crump, from Design in Stone. A one-off Porowhita in size large, with three koru worked into its centre, the stone a blend of vibrant deep green with contrasting yellow blooming.
This design combines the Porowhita and the Koru. The Porowhita's endless circle reflects life's continuous cycle, a lifelong journey of self-discovery and renewal, embodying mauri (life force) and inner harmony, while the koru's unfurling form embodies new beginnings, growth and inner peace. Together they speak of life's cycle as one of continual, gentle renewal.
Finished on an adjustable black cord and presented in an eco-friendly box, accompanied by cards detailing its meaning and care, a truly cherished taonga.
4.9cm x 4.9cm x 0.5cm
Durability: While pounamu (greenstone) is celebrated for its robustness, its dense nature makes it vulnerable to shock. Handle with care to maintain its integrity.
Protection: Avoid placing or wearing your pounamu on hard surfaces where it might get chipped.
Wear Often: Wear your pounamu frequently to enhance its shine with your natural skin oils. The cord is durable but will naturally wear over time.
Cleaning: Simply use a soft, damp cloth and mild soap for your pounamu. Beeswax or coconut oil can also be applied to moisturise the stone. Avoid harsh chemicals, as they may harm its surface.
Within NZ courier: $4.50 or Free delivery on orders over $100 (1-2 days)
