Durability:While pounamu (greenstone) is celebrated for its robustness, its dense nature makes it vulnerable to shock. Handle with care to maintain its integrity.
Protection: Avoid placing or wearing your pounamu on hard surfaces where it might get chipped.
Wear Often: Wear your pounamu frequently to enhance its shine with your natural skin oils. The cord is durable but will naturally wear over time.
Cleaning:Simply use a soft, damp cloth and mild soap for your pounamu. Beeswax or coconut oil can also be applied to moisturise the stone. Avoid harsh chemicals, as they may harm its surface.
Within NZ courier: $4.50 or Free delivery on orders over $100 (1-2 days)
International delivery: Fees vary depending on country.

Roimata
With its teardrop shape, the Roimata symbolises healing and unity. This tāonga represents empathy, connection to whenua (land), and offers hope, aroha, and comfort. Wearing the Roimata is believed to attract positive energy and good fortune, aiding the wearer through life's challenges.
A Symbol of Healing and Harmony
The Roimata captures emotions and the link between nature and wairua (spirit), promoting balance and hauora (well-being). As a protective talisman, it symbolises the Māori belief in unity and the significance of harmony in life.

My pounamu purchase was incredibly easy, with excellent and responsive service from the customer service team. It is a beautiful necklace and it arrived within just a couple of days. I will definitely consider purchasing from them again. Great job, team!
Bought this for a friend and she absolutely loves it.
She loved knowing that it was made with love in New Zealand and not China 😂.
She shows it off every day now
Thank you ❤️
I would love to show it off as it is a beautiful piece but the moment I received it, it was gift wrapped and sent off to England so someone very special to me could have a tiny piece of our beautiful country for connection with love!
Love it - just what I have been looking for and I plan to wear it all the time (and certainly when travelling overseas). I loved it so much I bought another similar one just in case I lose this one (heaven forbid!).
Its a beautiful piece. I was immediately comforted by my pounamu and haven't taken it off since it arrived. Usually a gift from another, I'm rather lacking in friends and family to do that for me therefore chose to gift it to myself. After a tough few years and studying kaupapa Maori, it feels right. Thank you.
I had to get the string replace after a week of having it wasn’t wrapped tight string was super long as well I have brought all ours from here wasn’t happy with this one. Not sure if I’ll purchase another
Thank you so much! I love it. This is for a colleague moving overseas and I wanted to get her something special from Aotearoa. This really is a beautiful piece and I love the little card inside explaining what the teardrop shape means. Great comms from your team, and super quick delivery. Much appreciated
Absolutely a beautiful piece of jewelry. Bought it for my sister in law in Aussie who has been going through some tough times and I know she will appreciate this (blessed) little piece of Aotearoa to wear. Fast shipping and will definitely be purchasing other items for family in the future. Thank you ❤️
perfect piece. ordered 2 different variations of this and both look very similar. recommend that you get varying colors to help with identifying if your ordered multiple
This was a gift and the recipient was very humbled by it. They thought it was beautiful and loved the color and design. Great price, well crafted and the company made it get to us quickly.
This is a beautiful piece to gift to a precious family member who faces a huge medical journey in front if her. I know she will be comforted by the warmth of the stone on her skin and the simplistic beauty of the carving to encourage her healing.
Wonderful service. Fast delivery. Can’t show a photo as it’s a gift for friends in Hawaii. Both pieces had a Māori Blessing as well. Two very special gifts,
I ❤️ love it it's for my Grandaughter for a gift so when I give it to her I will take a photo with her wearing it it is stunning. thank you I will be buying 2 more later on for my 2 Grandsons.xx
We had purchased earrings for our granddaughter on her graduation from Otago university and we’re so impressed with the beauty of the stone, I decided to purchase a piece of greenstone for my own use. It is beautiful and I would like to wear it as a sign of respect and pride for a united culture in NZ.
We respect your choice and do not bless our finished pounamu pieces. However, we encourage those who purchase to consider blessing it before gifting. Please see the answer below regarding "How can I bless pounamu."
Blessing pounamu is a personal choice often associated with gifting to someone close. Seek guidance from a Kaumatua or local Marae for traditional practices. Alternatively, you can honor tradition by cleansing the pounamu in a river or stream with a karakia (prayer), or by blessing it with the recipient to share your intentions. These methods allow for meaningful engagement with pounamu according to personal beliefs and connections.
Yes, you can buy pounamu for yourself without cultural taboo. In Māori history, pounamu was both a cherished gift and a traded commodity among tribes, symbolizing honor, respect, and enduring value. Whether purchased or received, owning a pounamu taonga carries deep spiritual significance, enhancing personal mana (spiritual life force) and connecting past traditions with the present. Whether for yourself or as a gift to friends or loved ones, the choice that feels meaningful to you is important.
