Carved from New Zealand Raukaraka greenstone, this one-off Hei Tiki pendant has been handcrafted by Huirapa Carving Studio, a mother and son duo based on the West Coast of Aotearoa.
The Hei Tiki is one of the most recognized and cherished symbols in te ao Māori. Traditionally worn as a pendant, it is believed to represent tīpuna (ancestors), symbolising wisdom, strength, and connection across generations. For many, the Hei Tiki is a taonga (treasure) imbued with wairua (spirit) and meaning, often passed down through whānau as a symbol of whakapapa and aroha.
This piece is paired with an adjustable, handwoven 4-plait black cord and presented in an eco-friendly box. A meaning and care card is included, making it a thoughtful taonga for yourself or someone special.

Durability: While pounamu (greenstone) is celebrated for its robustness, its dense nature makes it vulnerable to shock. Handle with care to maintain its integrity.
Protection: Avoid placing or wearing your pounamu on hard surfaces where it might get chipped.
Wear Often: Wear your pounamu frequently to enhance its shine with your natural skin oils. The cord is durable but will naturally wear over time.
Cleaning: Simply use a soft, damp cloth and mild soap for your pounamu. Beeswax or coconut oil can also be applied to moisturise the stone. Avoid harsh chemicals, as they may harm its surface.
Within NZ courier: $4.50 or Free delivery on orders over $50 (1-2 days)
